The traditional concept of "family" is evil

The traditional concept of "family" is one of the most evil ever created

What is a family? In essence it's a random grouping of souls. Sometimes these souls like each other and get along, sometimes they don't.

If you need to be married in order to have a relationship with another person, that says something about the (lack of) strength of that relationship. Similarly, if you need to be part of the same family as another person to have a bond with that person, that says something about the lack of desire for the existence of that bond.

If you don't like your parents or family, consider that you're perfectly well within your right to choose who your parents and family are, if anyone.

Furthermore, all a birth certificate provides evidence for is that as an infant two individuals brought you to a courthouse and had a birth certificate created in your name.

Unless you've done a DNA test, there isn't any proof of who gave birth to you. And the only thing that most people can personally verify is having lived in the same house as others during their childhood.

If you like those individuals and want to call them your parents/siblings/family and want to have connections with them, that's great! But if you don't like them and don't have to have any connections with them, you're also well within your right to do that!

True justice hasn't been invited yet

Rich people get more justice. Lawyers need to be paid flat fees for their services.

You cannot allow lawyers to set their own fees, because it draws in opportunists who can charge more for bringing more "justice" to certain individuals.

Honestly, the law and legal process need to just be simplified so that everyone can easily represent themselves in court.

This is akin to how Egyptian Hieroglyphs were purposely complicated to keep the masses from being literate.

True justice hasn't been invented yet.

Advertising

The advertising industry is a cancer to society, and I wish advertising was illegal. Advertising emotionally manipulates people by targeting their emotional weaknesses, and does its best to manipulate people into buying things they don't need. Take a @MrBeast video for example. If there aren't enough people willing to pay enough money to see his content to cover production costs + salaries, then that is a sign that resources are being wasted and too much money/resources are being used to produce something that isn't worth that much to viewers.

Some will argue that advertising covers the cost and viewers get to see content for free, but not only do advertising agencies make a profit, advertisers aren't dumb, they are making a profit. Where does that profit come from? From the individuals who watch the content and are emotionally manipulated into buying shit they don't need.

Is the existence of humanity really a good thing?

There is one flaw in Elon's logic when he talks about preserving (human) consciousness, which is the assumption that it's a good thing to do so. Most people are of the opinion that it is, but some clearly aren't.

1.5% of all human beings end their lives via suicide, most of which likely suffered to an extent that they'd rather never have been born at all. Furthermore, there is an entire Reddit sub dedicated to something called "Antinatalism", which is the view that it's unethical to bring new sentient beings into this world. Think of that what you will, but it indicates that there are humans whose life experiences are so bad that they believe that life and consciousness are not a good thing. Not to mention declining birthrates being yet another indicator that life as a human in the year 2026 is (on average) not that great.

People who believe life and consciousness are a bad thing may be in the minority at this point in time, but they exist. Moreover, suicide does not exist out in nature. The only animals that are known to kill themselves, ironically, are those held captive by humans.

The worst thing that can happen to you as an animal is your life gets cut short by a predator, the worst thing that can happen to you as a human is your life being so bad you wish you'd never have lived at all.

This should make everyone pause and reconsider whether the existence of human beings is really such a great thing that should be expanded across the universe. Perhaps humanity can get there one day, but I argue that at this point in time it's not.

Last but not least, if in this very moment there are many human beings suffering to an extent that they wish they'd never have been born at all, and human beings suffering to an extent that they choose to end their own lives prematurely, doing something to help these people is far more important than establishing a back-up human civilization in case something happens to Earth.

Pushing people to have babies is a terrible idea

The #1 thing I disagree on with @elonmusk is his opinion that we should push people to have more children.

If I'm not mistaken, Elon believes that declining birthrates will result in bad outcomes for society. However, I don't think he's fully aware of the consequences of pushing people to make babies.

In particular, I don't think he's aware of how this impacts the children that will be born to parents who don't really want them, and only had them because Elon (and others) told them it's good for society. You're now adding new human beings to the pool of alive humans that feel deeply unloved and unwanted.

I think it's important to consider whether it'd be better to have 7-8B humans, most of whom are hopefully at least somewhat wanted and loved by their parents. Or whether it'd be better to have 7-8B of those humans, and 2-3B humans who feel deeply unloved and unwanted by their parents and by society.

I think the former will undeniably create a better world for all. Pushing people to have babies they don't want is a terrible idea.

The Meaning of Life

For anyone trying to find out the meaning of life: Imagine there was a meaning, a single purpose to life. Wouldn't you feel boxed in? What if you disagreed with it? I much prefer there not to be any meaning so that I can freely choose what I do. It's a big problem with humanity too. Everyone has a different opinion on what is best for the world and what kind of world they want to live in. There's a constant struggle to agree on one way the world should be and to push to get it there. This mentality breeds hostility and competition. Unfortunately 8 billion people are forced to connect and share one world together. I'd much prefer if everyone could create their own world, be in complete control over it, and then everyone can travel between worlds/dimensions as they please to visit or live in other people's worlds (with their consent ofc).

Google a criminal enterprise?

How come Google is allowed to make money off of people googling people that don't want to be googled? If @elonmusk were to not want anyone to be able to Google him (and I'm sure there are many celebs as well as "common folk" who'd prefer they could not be googled), he should be able to block Google from aggregating all the information available on him on the internet and selling that (via advertising) to the general public.

Google is literally making money off of gathering and selling information about people without their consent. If this is legal, it shouldn't be. If it isn't, Google is a criminal enterprise.
